Annual 4th on Broadway is a free, outdoor family event held on July 4th. 

Since it's birth 15 years ago, it has been classified as "The Largest Free

Festival in Texas."  Planned events include a huge Independence Day

Parade, seven-block Street Fair with 11 musical stages, and an Evening

Concert ending with a spectacular fireworks display.

The 16th of September holiday is a community-wide event that encourages

Lubbock residents to embrace the Hispanic culture and participate in a

traditional celebration.  For over 50 years, "Fiestas Patrias," an event

sustained by Fiestas del Llano Inc., has flourished, and continues to grow,

leading it to become one of the most recognizably known festivals of its

kind in West Texas.  The annual festival draws thousands of people daily,

and features food, games, culture activities, and live music stages.

Held annually, the Lubbock Arts festival provides affordable entertainment

for families.  This multi-art, multi-event celebration highlights incredible

performers and visual artists from across the nation.  There are also many

"hands-on" art activities for children during the Arts Festival weekend!

"National Cowboy Symposium & Celebration"

This annual gathering of cowboys, musicians, poets, storytellers, artists,

historians, authors, chuck wagons, and exhibitors is one of the top

events of its kind celebrating and honoring our western heritage and

cowboy culture.

"Viva Aztlan Festival"

Founded by Lubbock Centro Aztlan, and held annually in March, the

two-day event is open to the public.  A popular feature is the last nights

showcase of past contest winners and mariachi groups.
